Job Description:

• The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and locating equipment faults as well as adjusting, replacing, or repairing telecommunications equipment.
• The candidate must inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, removing, and maintaining telephone equipment, wiring, and related hardware.
• The candidate will be responsible for repairing or replacing defective telephone equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for testing the installed telephone system to identify transmission faults.
• The candidate must analyze test results and adjust, modify, or repair the switching system, network, related equipment, and software.
• The candidate must complete and maintain test and service reports.
• The candidate must determine the nature, cause, and location of the trouble.
• The candidate will be responsible for installing electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
