Duties of Room Attendant Jobs in Canada:

Job duties of this position include:

  • Washbasins, countertops, toilets, mirrors, baths, and showers are cleaned and disinfected.
  • Drying and cleaning glass surfaces.
  • Dishwashing and stowing clean glasses and silverware.
  • Drying and cleaning additional items, including pots and utensils.
  • Cleaning and emptying garbage cans.
  • Dusting fixtures and furniture.
  • When necessary, vacuuming carpets and upholstery and relocating furniture.
  • Assembling mattresses and replacing linens when necessary.
  • In restrooms, replace soiled linens and used amenities.
  • Mopping and sweeping the surfaces.
  • Restocking writing materials, coffee, and glassware, among other room supplies.

Prerequisites:

Prior experience in sanitation and customer service is an asset. Required to be available to work a flexible schedule, which may include overtime. Prospective candidates must possess the ability to effortlessly bend, lift, push, and drag. This physically demanding position requires the ability to press and lift to 50 pounds and 25 pounds, respectively.
